BABY PSYCHOLOGY- Interesting Facts

 Psychologists consider that it's possible to foretell the trajectory of life of a future adult person according to a character of passing pregnancy, especially delivery, and also peculiarities of a baby's development during first year of life.
Psychology begins to form since a mother and her future baby become a one organism.
On the 6th week of pregnancy agamic embryo turns into a embryo of a male or female sex.Worries and wishes of a mother about future baby's sex are passed to a forming fetus's brain,and affect him for his whole life,able to cause serious problems in future.
The period between 3rd and 7th month of pregnancy,a development of function takes place,which allow fetus to survive till the moment of birth.During this period a fetus is most vulnerable:taking of strong medicines,alcohol,stress situations,unwillingness to have a baby can draw to future psychological problems.
 From the 7 th month fetus gains the ability of hearing and begins to share  feelings of a mother, like fear,safety and calmness.

Well,a baby was born! His brain already contains information about the world,which he came to.Since the first hours a baby can perceive clear sounds of different intensity.He can even perceive a mother's voice among other one's,pronouncing his name.by the second month a baby smiles,when he hears a mother's or other significant adults' voices.The most important things for a baby's normal psychic development are adults' intonation of love and emotional acceptance of a creature,who conceives himself through communication with them.Since 4th month a baby can discern colors:dark-blue,green and red colors.A baby,whose needs are satisfied,prefers dark-blue and red colors.Predilection for yellow and refusal from dark-blue - is a sign saying that some baby's vital necessity is still dissatisfied.
Let's consider the most important moment of a baby's development- a way of his feeding by mother.
Already on the 3rd day of life a baby can recognize his mother through her neck and breast smell.A baby answers with a psychological reaction of joy on mother's glad expression.
A way of feeding is the most important moment in a baby's comprehension of the way his mother treats him and whether she'll be able to be with him,feed him,support and protect,when it's necessary.Some mothers observe feeding according to a schedule carefully,waiting for minutes till the appointed hour,while a hungry baby is calling for the only source of food,warmth and caress,known to him.A mother should understand that a baby has inborn necessity in emotionally colored communication with her,besides food and cloth,when satisfying these necessities,a feeling of safety and trust for outward things will form in a baby.

The Four Parenting Styles

   
There are as many parenting styles as there are a number of parents.Experts believe the parenting styles fall into 4 different and identifiable styles:authoritarian,indulgent,authoritative,and uninvolved.
     Let's examine this more closely.

1. Authoritarian parent.These parents are like army commanders.They prefer to issue commands and orders to their children and fully expect their children to carry out their orders without questioning them. Authoritarians do not welcome nor appreciate any feedback from their children.They live by set and defined rules in a structured environment.These children as we know,are generally considered to have an unhappy nature about them.Boys generally exhibit hostile behavior when dealing with frustration,whereas girls tend to give up easily when faced with difficult situations.Both the boys and girls however,tend to perform better in school due to their disciplined  upbringing. 
   
2. Indulgent parent.These parents are generally lenient.They allow a variety of behaviors by their children that some would describe as immature.Essentially,they let the children look after themselves and avoid confronting them at all costs.Indulgent parents may also be described as non-directive or democratic.These parents, though lenient,are more aware and show a commitment to engage with their children.
3. Authoritative parent.These parents are both demanding and responsive at the same time.Authoritative parents while expecting their children to behave in a certain manner,don't impose their authority and welcome a certain amount of questioning.They demonstrate a combination of assertiveness coupled with the ability to respond to their children's feedback.These children appear to be more lively and have a happier disposition about them.Their self-confidence is more developed they seem to be more sure of their abilities .These children also show better emotional control and  more adept in their social skills.Gender stereotypes are also less of an issue with authoritative parents,as they tend to be more open minded in their outlook towards their children's behavior,i.e. boys playing with dolls and girls playing with tools.
4. Uninvolved parenting.As the name suggests,these parents are simply uninvolved.They are neither demanding nor responsive of their children and they are not interested in any feedback from them.These parents are most likely to be irresponsible and more often neglect their children.
